Lara is a method actress who derives her craft from the diverse range of cultural elements in her surroundings. From her early years in Tehran, Iran, to her upbringing in Zurich, Switzerland and now a naturalized New Yorker, she developed a rare cultural synergy that has endowed her with a rare global perspective. As a polyglot who speaks English, Farsi, Swiss-German, German and a touch of French and Italian, she has developed an international portfolio of work as an actress, model, and tv personality.
Lara is continually improving her craft through acting classes and developing her passion through an expanding portfolio in film and tv. She graduated in 2013 from the Lee Strasberg Institute’s two-year conservatory. Her mentors at the school included Paul Calderon (Pulp Fiction, 21 Grams), Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket), Robert Ellermann, vocal coach Bruce Baumer and Roberta Wallach, the daughter of the legendary Eli Wallach. She is currently represented by Phoenix Artists as well as Bohemia Group, New York.

The first season of this fantasy-drama NBC series is finally airing! In Origin Shoreh Aghdashloo is remembering the traumatic goodbye with her family back in Iran during the revolution. Lara is playing Shohreh Aghdashloo's younger version.
